Origins of the Standard Celeration Society
The Standard Celeration Society began as The International Precision Learning/Precision Teaching Committee, which formed on April 23, 1985.
On March 23, 1992, at the Precision Teaching conference in Park City, Utah, the name of the organization was changed to The Standard Celeration Society. At that time an amendment for this title was filed with the state of Washington. The title, The Standard Celeration Society was formally recognized by the State of Washington on May 20, 1992.
